OneDrive recycle bin policy settings and file recovery?

I'm utilising the Known Folder Move (KFM) technique to sync the Windows 10/11 folders on my machine to OneDrive.

I accidentally erased data from a folder on my Desktop a few days ago, and I need to retrieve them right away.

How do I recover my data that were synced to OneDrive after they were removed from my laptop?

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

    Hi,

I suggest you try this method:

    1. Go to the OneDrive website and sign in with your account.
    2. Click the Recycle bin option from the left menu.
    3. Find the deleted files and folders.
    4. Select the files or folders you want to restore.
    5. Click the Restore button to restore the selected files to their original location.

Deleted files remain in the OneDrive Recycle Bin for 30 days
