I have a client that has the mandate to migrate to the M365 instead of a on-premise exchange server. They have 2 more years of a volume license agreement. My vendor is saying they have to complete the agreement or pay M365 licensing in addition. For this client, it will cost them 8k per year for the next 2 years. Sorry for the delay. I completed MS900 course and throught it was mentioned then ability to convert VLSC license to M365.

The ability to convert a Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) license to Microsoft 365 (M365) depends on the specific licensing agreement. In some cases, it may be possible to convert the license, but in other cases, the client may need to complete the agreement or pay for M365 licensing in addition. It is best to check with Microsoft or a licensing specialist to determine the specific options available for the client's agreement.
