Manifest Extension V2 timeline support for Browser Edge

Question

Hello, i'm senior developer of an Italian state company. We spent e lot of effort to develop an extension for a Edge browser, using manifest version 2 ( V2 ) some years ago. We are aware that timeline announced for support before dismissing at all, is at least for a January 2024.

We are afraid to do not be able to having time for migrating to manifest version V3, so we would be grateful if you could give us some more information if after January 2024, the support related to manifest V2 will continue to be active and/or if we may find ouserlves in a sudden dismission in February or next, without more time available to be ready to migrate.

There's no still clear info about this aspect by Microsoft. For us is very important having more info it about as we work for Italian government and we a lot of deployed applications in territory.

Based on my search, you could refer to the Manifest V2 support timeline for Chrome extensions for planning your extension's migration. I thought it should be similar to the Edge browser.

The doc above indicates that the Manifest V2 will be disabled as early as June 2024. 
Also, I recommend you send feedback on this issue by pressing Alt+Shift+I in Microsoft Edge.
