Hello Community,

We have a scenario where Apple has released iOS 17.2.1 for iPhones, but not for iPads. Our current App protection policy is configured for conditional launch, with the requirement that apps should launch only if the device is on iOS 17.2.1. This setup works well for BYOD iPhones.

However, the challenge is that iPad users are receiving warnings to update to iOS 17.2.1, which is not available for iPads. We are seeking guidance on how to implement conditional launch policies separately for iOS Phones and iPadOS.

Is there a way to achieve this differentiation within the current app protection policy settings, or are there alternative methods we should explore?

Thank you for your assistance!

Regards,

Mario

@Mario Karp, Thanks for posting in Q&A. To apply the app protection policy separately for iPhone and iPad. We can create different filter in Intune by set the model for iPhone and iPad. (Based as I know, the model for iPad and iPhone is different.)

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/fundamentals/filters

After we create the filters, we can add different filter under app protection policy assignment to separate iPhone and iPad.

Hope the above information can help.
