Microsoft Fabric trial

Question

How to sign up for a Microsoft Fabric trial with my account if I am not an organization but a freelancer/individual? Missing clear information about this limitation and I do not understand why exists at all. Why if I have a valid Azure subscription like an individual I can not use Azure services? Please provide me with a guide on how to access the service to be able to explore it.

Thank you for the question and welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. Microsoft Fabric is provided free of charge when you sign up for the Fabric trial. The Fabric trial requires a Power BI license. Navigate to https://app.fabric.microsoft.com to sign up for a Power BI free license. Once you have a Power BI license, you can start the Fabric trial.

For signing up for the individual, you may have to follow the steps which are clearly mentioned here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/service-self-service-signup-purchase-for-power-bi#self-service-sign-up-versus-self-service-purchase

As the Microsoft Fabric trial requires a PowerBI license as a mandatory part, you have to signup first for PowerBI and then proceed with the next steps.

Thank you for the links, but they are not so straightforward. In the end, if you are an individual without work or student e-mail there is no free option for a power BI license. In the end, I enabled the Fabric trial but because I have a reserved internet domain with e-mail.

However, I still cannot use the functionalities. When I try to create my workspace I can't choose the "trial" option. I only have Pro and Premium. If I try to create something in the default "My workspace" I get the message "Unable to create this item. To create a Lakehouse, you need a free Microsoft Fabric trial" capacity. Unfortunately, your Microsoft tenant has reached the maximum number of available free trial capacities."

So how can enable these capacity units in order to be possible to explore this service?
