Hi,

I am auditing an Azure account and need assistance with the Azure Analysis service.

I have no knowledge of this service, but it seems to involve models. However, the Azure account I am auditing all resources of this service don't have any models.

Does it make sense for these resources to exist without models? Does the service remain useful if there are no models? Are there use cases for this service that don't involve models, or does the absence of models indicate that the service is not being used?

Are there any metrics that can provide more insights into the usage of these service resources?

Regards,

Fábio Santos

The service could be in the setup phase, or it might be used for testing purposes. In such cases, models might not have been created yet.

The account could be undergoing maintenance, or there might be a transition where old models were removed, and new ones haven't been set up yet.

Sometimes, resources are provisioned in anticipation of future use. This could be part of a larger project plan where model creation is scheduled for a later stage.

If the service is being phased out, models might have been deleted, but the resources haven't been fully decommissioned yet.
