Excel: Power Query report with Pivot table sharing via email

I have monthly data in excel files and folder which I have organized to an excel sheet via power query.

In the same power query file, I converted that query table into the Pivot table for further analysis.

Now, when I sharing that same file to the email for my colleagues, the data is also going with it and I believe they can able to update the query and get the latest data as well.

How I can avoid sending the data along with the power query file and how to restrict my recipients to update the data?

    Hi,

In my opinion, you can load the Query data as a Table, and delete the Query from list:

    User's image

    User's image

Then create a new PivotTable based on the table.
