0365 - SharePoint RSS Feed Web Part Error After Adding to Page

Using a Microsoft 365 Team Sharepoint Site I added an RSS feed to a page (as a site owner). Upon trying to configure the RSS feed I get the following error message.

The user account which was used to create configuration is not part of the group or organization.:Access is denied. Check credentials and try again.

I have confirmed I am a member and owner of the site. The only note of difference I cannot is my user that is authorized is under domainname.com and when I login my username shows as ad.domainname.com. I don't believe this is the core issue because in many areas of site it appears as if I still have full site owner privileges.

    Hi @Matthew ,

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

I tested it in my environment and didn't reproduce your situation. According to the error message you provided, it should be an issue with account permissions. Let’s do some troubleshooting:

Check whether the user account you are using to configure the RSS feed has the necessary permissions to access the feed. You can also try logging in with a different account to see if the issue persists.

Check whether the RSS feed itself is configured correctly. Make sure that the URL for the feed is correct and that the feed is accessible.

Hi @Matthew , Please make sure you are a site owner or member of the site and you can find yourself here: User's image

And may I know is there any custom solution, add-in and web part deployed to your site?

Great to know that and thanks for sharing the update here.

By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. [O365 - SharePoint RSS Feed Web Part Error After Adding to Page]

    Current status:

I tested further over the past few days and it has worked fine. So, I am guessing that it was some form of SharePoint or M365 service issue.
