Using iPads in Shared Mode with Student Logins

Hi all, I'm seeking advice on using iPads in shared mode while still requiring students to log in. Our need is for devices to utilise Smoothwall Monitor, which needs user logins on the iPads. However, since we only have a class set of iPads, different users will need to sign in on multiple devices. I've attempted to use "Enroll with Microsoft Entra" in shared mode, but unfortunately, I haven't had success. Any help would be appreciated ! I have even tried to assign profile User affinity to enroll with User Affinity and wiped the device to enroll it but nothing, still doesnt require log in details. Thank you.

@Aran Billen, Thanks for posting in Q&A. From your description, I know you want to set the iPad as shared iPad. And also let the Microsoft Entra user to sign in these devices.

Based on my researching, I find when you federate your organization’s Microsoft Entra instance in Apple Business or School Manager, a device user can sign in on a Shared iPad using their Microsoft Entra username and password. Here is a link with more details:
