Problem with generating mobile device codes

I am logging in to the azure portal, it asks me to enter a code to access. I have downloaded the mobile application and added my email and password and again it asks me to enter my access code. If I am signing up for the first time to this application why is it asking me for an access code, if I don't have one...Can anyone help me or guide me on what to do?

However this does not gives a clear picture to start digging through this, kindly confirm the following:
- Are you the global admin of the tenant facing this issue?
- Have you ever enrolled for MFA ?
- Kindly share the screenshots and steps on which you are being prompted for mobile access code.

2024-01-24T13:51:04.2966667+00:00 Hi Akshay, I am referring to the two-step verification, I have installed the authenticator on my phone for the first time and followed the steps, however I have not been able to log in because when logging in it asks me to enter a code ..... I have not been able to make any progress on this side. In the security settings I have also tried to change and remove this two step verification but it still takes me to the screen where it asks me for a code. My email is professional I have searched for microsoft support but have not found anyone. If you know what I mean.
