How to create security group with email address on Entra ID

Question

When you create a group with Entra ID, you can select a security group and a Microsoft 365 group, but Email addresses cannot be linked to security groups. On the other hand, the functionality limitations of Microsoft Fabric's management portal require that controls be registered using a security group with an email address. I want to know how to link an email address to a security group using Entra ID.

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft QnA platform. I would like to confirm that Microsoft Entra ID portal only supports creation and management of Security and Microsoft 365 Groups.

With regards to Mail enabled Security Groups or Security Groups with Email you would need to create and manage this security groups from Exchange Admin center or Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
