how to verify office 2021 without internet?

I have Office Home and Student installed on a laptop. It is used for personal finances etc. and is NEVER connected to the internet. After a year of use I'm getting a message to connect to the internet to verify the license. This is not going to happen. How do I resolve this problem?

You can activate your Office Home and Student license offline by following the steps below:

1. Open the Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key together.
2. Type SLUI 4 in the Run window and press Enter.
3. Select your country on the first screen.
4. The phone dialog will appear with a phone number and the “Installation ID” already filled in for you.
5. Call the phone number provided and enter the “Installation ID” when prompted.
6. You will be provided with a “Confirmation ID”. Carefully write it down.
7. Click on the “Enter Confirmation ID” button and type the number they provided.
8. That should complete the activation for you.
