    Hello @Briet Max ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft QnA platform. I would like to confirm that you can create a free Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD Tenant by creating a free account in either of two ways:

Once free instance is created you should be able to intergrate your VMware lab environment with you free Microsoft Entra Tenant.

    Hi

Yes its possible to get free Entra E5 licenses and a sandbox tenant for development/lab purpose. https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program#Subscription

There is also the option to get a free 12 month subscription with limited credits :)

    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free

    Best Regards, Timmy Malmgren

i see that If you set up your instant sandbox between May 31, 2023 and June 5, 2023, you will not be able to access your tenant due to a technical issue. Please go to your Microsoft 365 Developer Program dashboard, sign in with your Developer Program account, and choose Set up subscription to get your new instant sandbox.
After you set up your new instant sandbox, please sign in with your admin account within 14 days. We apologize for the inconvenience. I don't have the option setup subscription on my dashboard
