Adding Interface Catalyst 8000v

hello i configured a virtual machine for a Cisco Catalyst 8000v. All looks good, only it has only one port (GigabitEthernet1). I also need GigabitEthernet2. I can add it, but when I commit, it complains anybody any idea?

c8000v-Seco#config-transaction 
connected from 127.0.0.1 using console on c8000v-Seco
c8000v-Seco(config)# interface GigabitEthernet2
c8000v-Seco(config-if)# commit
Aborted: inconsistent value: Device refused one or more commands:
interface GigabitEthernet2
           ^

Is this an Azure VM? What is the size and do you have multiple ethernet interfaces attached?

I selected several sizes (standard_DS2_v2, standard_D2s_v3). The Cisco documentation starts with

Perform the following steps to deploy Cisco Catalyst 8000V with multiple interfaces. Procedure

---	Step 1	Select Virtual machines in the left hand side panel.
Step 1	Select Virtual machines in the left hand side panel.
Step 2	Click Add.
Step 3	Enter "C8000V".Finds the Cisco Catalyst 8000V VM deployments in the Azure Marketplace.
Step 4	Choose the deployment of your choice, with 2,4, or 8 NICs.
Step 5	Click Create.

I miss the whole Add part, so i can't select the number of NICs.

Maybe i need to add the additional port (NIC) manually.

I'm a rookie, so probably i'm doing something stupid.

The steps you provided are for Deploy Cisco Catalyst 8000V with Multiple Interfaces. Make sure you have multiple interfaces on your Azure VM. You can add these during launch or after launch. Please note that each VM size has a limit for network interfaces. Labeled here as Max Nics for DSv2-series. Screenshot of attach a network interface to a virtual machine in Azure portal.

hello deherman-MSFT many thanks. i was looking at that all the time, but i could not click it. Found out that i needed to stop the VM, then add it and restart it. Thanks again,
