I'm not sure how you were doing it in the old version of Outlook but can you not just use Ctrl+P to bring up the print option and select the print to PDF option? As far as I know this works with any application that supports printing so custom functionality for apps isn't really needed these days.
How do you save an email in PDF format in the "new" Outlook email
In the old version of outlook, you could easily save an email in PDF format. How do you do that in the New Outlook. When will the feature be available? We need it!

According to my test on my new Outlook, you can click on the print option to save the email as pdf.
The new Outlook is not yet complete, and some options may not be available or work as expected. You can switch back to the classic Outlook at any time by clicking the toggle button in the top right corner of the window.
