I would like to create an Outlook signature with two hyperlinks:

  1. open a link to create an email to me in the to field (I do not require assistance with this, it still works)
  2. open a Teams chat window to me (this no longer works)

There used to be a way to create a hyperlink to open a chat window to a specific person (as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/197688/teams-hyperlinks-on-outlook-signature) but this no longer works.

    1. Open the Outlook desktop application.
    2. Click on “New Email” to create a new email.
    3. On the Message menu, select “Signature” and then choose “Signatures”.
    4. In the Signatures and Stationery window, select the signature you want to edit or create a new one.
    5. In the Edit signature section, position your cursor where you want to insert the link.
    6. Add the chat link using the following format:
       [Chat with me on Teams!](https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=)

Replace <youremailaddress> with your actual Microsoft 365 email address that you use with Teams. For example:

       [Chat with me on Teams!](https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=)

    1. Optionally, you can add the Teams icon to make it visually appealing. You can download the Teams icon in various sizes here.
    2. Select the icon and/or the text you’ve added, then click the hyperlink icon in the Signature Editor.
    3. Paste the chat link into the Address field and click OK. I hope this works

This works for my system - or perhaps this is a new feature-

    1. You write some text, ex: Chat with me on TEAMS!
    2. Then select the text for hyperlinking
    3. Hover your mouse over the selected text
    4. Select the hyperlink option
    5. In the URL area put this replace with your own email and remove the "" at the beginning and end: "https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=[******@someorganization.com]"

Also remove the brackets and replace ********@someorganization.com

with your own email address, so:

    https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=JoBlogsJr444(@workwork.com

    This worked for me!
