Can I get image related information on Azure's Document Intelligence Studio?

Out of the models supported by Document Intelligence Studio, is there a model that gives out image information? Is there an option of using Custom model along with the existing one?

Document Intelligence provides a set of pre-built and custom models that can extract information from various types of documents. The features that are analyzed/supported by various model are listed in the documentation. Additionally, you can refer here to understand Pretrained scenario-specific models.

The Azure AI Vision Image Analysis service can extract a wide variety of visual features from images. For example, it can determine whether an image contains adult content, find specific brands or objects, or find human faces. Hello @VasaviLankipalle-MSFT , Thanks for the shared information. Although I am not looking for details on a provided image, I was looking for an option to extract image as a whole from PDF. So, now while using Document Intelligence Studio, I am able to extract text information from a PDF along with their position. Is there a way to get images out of the PDF too, along with their positions?

Hello @Divya Prakash Jha (DP) , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Currently, Document Intelligence does not support extracting images from PDFs. However, this is in the future roadmap. This might be supported in the upcoming preview API version. Once this preview is available, you may be able to use it to extract images along with their positions from PDFs.

The anticipated ETA is around end of the February month this year. Please check back us around that time or check what's new page for the latest updates.
