Hi techie, I have 600+ machines in my environment with old build version and need to be upgraded with 22h2. Please suggest if I can automate through intune to upgrade them with latest feature update (22h2) or let me know the possible solution for the same. "I know that with the 22H2 enablement or feature update, we can upgrade machines to version 2004 or above." . Thank you so much in advance.

@TechUST, Thanks for posting in Q&A. To upgrade devices into windows 10 22H2, we can deploy a feature update policy and set "Feature Update to deploy" to windows 10 version 22H2.

To make the feature update receive by the device quickly, we recommend create a windows update ring policy with setting the Feature update deferral period (days) to 0.

We can see more details in the following links:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/windows-10-feature-updates

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/windows-10-update-rings

In addition, as a remind, please ensure the license required is also assigned.

Hope the above information can help.

@TechUST, Thanks for the reply. After testing, I find the windows 10 with the version out of support can't update the Feature Update via feature update policy.

After checking the official document, it mentioned the devices needs to run a version of Windows 10/11 that remains in support.

After checking windows 10 support version, I find windows 10 1703,1709, 1803,1809, 1909 are already out of support. If so, the feature update policy may show not applicable on these devices.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/release-information#windows-10-current-versions-by-servicing-option

But you can deploy update ring policy to let the device receive the latest feature update.
