When a custom copilot plug-in is enabled to work with M365 Copilot, does it integrate with all of the M365 UI's?

If I build a custom partner plug-in (custom, OpenAI plug-in), and enable it to integrate with the native M365 Copilot does this apply to all M365 products (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Loop, etc)? Or, do we have the flexibility to enable/disable your partner plug-in for each specific Microsoft 365 product (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Loop, etc)? My question also includes Messaging Extensions for Teams and Outlook. We are considering upgrading the manifest to the latest version to enable Microsoft Copilot capability with the Teams Messaging Extension. Does the Team Messaging Extension call a partner copilot plug-in? Similar in concept to enable a partner plug-in to "extend" to working with native M365 Copilot UI? Or, the Teams Messaging Extension is calling Open AI directly?

    Hello,

As per documentation, plugins for Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 are in preview and only work in Microsoft 365 Chat in Microsoft Teams. Reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/extensibility/#plugins

    Hope this helps.
