It seems like your system is currently set to open Thunderbird instead of Outlook when you click on “mailto” links. Here are some steps you can follow to change this setting:
- Press the Windows key, type “Control Panel” in the search bar and click Open.
- Type “Default Programs” in the search bar then click on it to open.
- Select “Associate a file type or protocol with a program”.
- Search for “Mailto” and click on it.
- Select “Outlook” from the listed options.
If this doesn’t work, you might want to try repairing your Office installation:
- Go to “Apps and Features”.
- Select the Microsoft Office product you want to repair and select Modify.
- In the window “How would you like to repair your Office Programs”, select Online Repair > Repair to make sure everything gets fixed.
