Unverified text is Appearing next to the ACS User name on the Microsoft Team

New Team is showing Unverified text next to the azure communication user name? It wasn't there with the old team. @Grmacjon-MSFT can you please help? User's image

I'm experiencing the same issue, it started this morning. Recurring Teams meeting with outside organization. Chat amongst the meeting participants is also not available.

Same here.
Some not all existing guests have also been removed from meeting/chat channels automatically.
However we are still able to speak to them one on one.

We have several users in our domain that show this (Unverified) tag. This only happens in Teams, everywhere else in the tenant they are listed correctly. Is this a bug?

this is what I found related to this question, I believe it is expected with the new client "Anonymous - people whose identity can't be verified. They may be logged in to an organization without a two-way trust relationship or they may not have an account. Anonymous participants appear with "(Unverified)" appended to their name in meetings"

I was able to resolve it on some by moving them to Teams Classic. Unverified and move them to teams classic and they join back on the same call and they are now verified.

This change is published in the Office 365 message center as MC716008.

No label: All participants who are part of the organizer’s organization.

External: All participants who are external to the organizer’s organization but have a trusted relationship with the organizer or their organization.

Unverified: All other participants will be seen with this label. This will include Microsoft Entra ID users who belong to organizations that do not have an explicit external access setup with the organizer’s organization, Microsoft Account (personal) users, users who are not using any Microsoft ID while joining meetings, and others.

Should the "Unverified" label show up for a participant that is IN your organization, using a phone whose number is listed in that participant's Entra Contact Information properties?

This is due to not being verified by an external verifier Linkedin. Go to the linkedin tab in teams and connect your Linkedin account to have the "(unverified)" tag from your username in meetings https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-linkedin-in-microsoft-teams-119fc53f-3eeb-4e94-a70f-fb68ff9c380c
