Based on the provided context, let's start troubleshooting from the below questions:

What's the scope of this issue, specific Word and PowerPoint files or all files?
If you move the files to other libraries/sites, would this issue still persist?
If you re-upload the files to the library, would this issue be fixed?

Many thanks for coming back, in answer to your response..

For myself, it was limited to Online Word and PowerPoint, although colleagues have reported issues with Excel Online too.

It didn't matter where the files were, I tried access via email, Teams Chat link, Jira URL Link and a direct share, and still got a not found error message.

It made no difference where I put the files, I still had the same issue.

In terms of a screenshot, I didn't take one at the time, apologies, but it was simply the words 'Not Found' in a small font in the top left corner of the screen.

The problem appears to have righted itself now, and I can access again, so I am not sure if it was a local issue or a wider MS issue, if it happens again, I'll update via this thread, but thanks again for your reply.

Thanks a lot for your update. It seems that it is not a MS wide issue as recently I don't hear from other MS users about such issue. Anyway, I am glad to hear that the issue has disappeared now.

By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. It is recommended to temporarily archive the case via "Accept answer" button.
