Purview workflow is not working

Hi,

I have setup the Microsoft purview and tried the workflow feature. But there are lots of issues with this feature:

  1. In the Data access request workflow creating it does not detect my own user name as approver despite I am the tenant admin and I have maximum rights. So I have to use asset.owner instead it could take my email ID. See the screenshot.
  2. Now When the request workflow is triggered and despite the fact I have approved the request sent by my colleague for a table in Azure SQL DB when my colleague tries to login to the Azure SQL DB with the Azure AD with MFA auth he is unable to login.

I found that this error in the log. This means Purview is unable to take the user id.

    After much back and forth we found the solution. I went ahead and updated the email ID in the Entra ID:

    and purview started showing the email id. I am still not sure why and how it stopped working because I have not changed anything in this email id and I have been using this email since the last couple of years and nothing changed in it.

    @Rajaniesh Kaushikk - I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue and thank you for posting your solution so that others experiencing the same thing can easily reference this!
