Microsoft Entra ID P2 Trial

Question

i am trying to activate free Entra P2 id, when i click on the activate button under license tab its taking we to other tab which is asking we to set up company detiles which is not same procedure to activate as i saw on many videos

pls do suggest something.

The new activate design asks you to specify your payment method even if it is a trial version. You can cancel after the trial.

For your query I have understand you're facing an issue with activating your Microsoft Entra ID P2 free trial license.

To activate free trial of Microsoft Entra ID P2 you need an active Azure Subscription, if you don't have the one, you can create from here.

After successful registration follow the below steps to activate a free trial of Microsoft Entra ID P2.

Sign into Azure Portal in the search box Search for Microsoft Entra ID and select it from the results.

In the left pane select Licenses->Overview In the top right under "Quick tasks" select "Get a free trial." Select Microsoft Entra ID P2 and select Activate. On the same page under the "All products" tab, you see the list of licenses you have, and you can assign as per your requirements.

After selecting Get a free trial, click on Activate It will direct you to a Microsoft Entra ID P2 Trial page by asking your email. based on the screen shot you have shared I have noticed that you are using a UPN of the user which is might not helpful to activate the Microsoft Entra ID P2 trail license.
Kindly use the default email ID which you have registered with the Azure subscription and please follow the on-screen instructions and fill the required details.

The other side about the company details, Since Microsoft Entra ID process changed you need to provide company details and by following the security check procedure which is related to your origination. Microsoft keeps updating Azure portal regularly to provide better service to end users.
