why no Environment variables showing in azure web app backup

Hello,

I removed some environment variables from some web apps, and now I want to restore them. However, even after restoring backups from before they were deleted, the variables are still missing.

I also tried to restore the web app in a separate copy, but encountered the same issue.

    Hi,

    Azure Web Apps backup, backups the content of your web site not your settings. Environment variables are settings. If you want to have some backup on your environment variables I would suggest to deploy your web Apps via IaC and keep the configuration for your IaC deployment on Git.
