How to fix issue with Outlook setup for iCloud; constant error stating username or password is incorrect

I am trying to set-up iCloud Calendars and Contacts with Outlook. It worked for awhile and recently I started to see duplicate appointments in Outlook. I signed out of iCloud and signed back in and figured I would redo the connection between iCloud and Outlook for calendars and contacts. When I get to the point where the two are going to talk I get the error of 'Your setup couldn't start because your username or password is incorrect. Go to iCloud for Windows, sign out, and sig n back in.' I have done that with the help from my IT department and nothing seems to work. I would really like to get back to having this functionality with Outlook and iCloud. Any help, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Hruby, David ,

It seems that you’re encountering an issue with iCloud setup in Outlook, to better understand your scenario, please provide detailed information:

    • Have you installed Microsoft updates recently?
    • Will Outlook work in safe mode?

According to my research, here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

    1. Uninstalling/reinstalling iCloud
    2. Disable iCloud Outlook addin: go to File / Options / Add-ins / Manage COM Add-ins / Go...Disable the iCloud Outlook addin

If above doesn't help, you can try the steps in this thread.
