Hi Team,

My name is Deepak Modi and I am from Oracle.

We have a huge library of video courses which we build daily.

Below are my requirements:

Say I have a PPT accompanied by a narration script for each slide.

I will load the PPT in the storage container.

I will generate the audio from the narration script using a text-to-speech service.

Now I want to merge both of them and create a video (say .mp4 format) using Azure.

Can you please let me know if this is possible, yes..can you guide me with the steps?

    @Deepak Modi

    Thanks for reaching out to us, this feature is currently not available. Azure Media Services doesn't directly offer the functionality to combine PPT and audio files into a video, it only provides the capability to encode, package, and distribute video content.

    However, you can accomplish this by using a combination of third-party tools and Azure services. Here are the general steps to do so:

    1. Convert PPT to Video: There are numerous third-party tools that allow you to convert a PPT into a video file (e.g., .mp4). Some versions of PowerPoint itself provide this functionality.
    2. Sync Audio with Video: Once you have your PowerPoint presentation in video format and the audio narration ready, you can use video editing software to merge the audio and video together. Software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or even free alternatives like OpenShot can be used for this purpose.
    3. Upload to Azure Media Services: After you have your final video file ready, you can then upload it to Azure Media Services for further processing (like encoding to different formats, streaming, etc.) or storage. While Azure Media Services is a powerful tool for video processing and distribution, the initial creation of the video (merging PPT and audio) would need to be done outside of Azure. Once the video is prepared, then Azure Media Services can be used for the rest of the video processing pipeline.

    I am sorry for the feature is not available, please let us know if you have any questions about Azure Speech or Azure Media Services.

    Regards,

    Yutong
