Cost of Azure Premium Event Hubs

Hello,

we plan to upgrade from standard event hub instance to premium. I see that for an idle without traffice instance the monthly cost is quite high ~900€. Could you confirm my understanding? The cost increase is high comparing to an idle standard tier event hub.

    Hi,

    This is correct. The price of Azure Event hub Premium is 1.027$ per hour per processing unit. For one processing unit the monthly price is around 739.44$. The difference is due to for Premium you have reserved capacity that you paid for. In Standard you are not reserving the capacity and it is shared with other tenants.
