Unerollment alert com.microsoft:mdm.unenrollment.userrequest, does not come when device is resetted.Even though mdm connection is disconnected.

@Bevan Thomas, Thanks for posting in Q&A. The unenrollment alert com.microsoft:mdm.unenrollment.userrequest is not expected to be sent when a device is reset, as the device is wiped clean and all data, including MDM enrollment, is erased.

So, there is no way to identify if the device has been unenrolled in this case.

@Bevan Thomas, Thanks for the reply. To identify if the device is unenrolled, you can check it in Intune portal. If the device record is not existing, that means it is unenrolled.

If you want to unenroll the device which is reset, you can choose delete action in Intune portal.

@Crystal-MSFT But ideally the device is unenrolled after a reset right?, then why we don't get alert?

@Bevan Thomas, Thanks for the reply. For the action delete or retire which will unenroll the device, it will not reset the device. For wipe action, it will reset the device But the enrollment state will keep.

If you just reset on the device, it is not a suggested method. Because, when the device is reset, the deice lose connection to Intune. But the device still left in Intune portal. Intune will try to connect but failed.
