After installing the new patch for March 2024 we no longer has a working aggregated newsfeed. It's stuck on

'We're still collecting the latest news. You may see more if you try again a little later.'

The ULS logs:

Unexpected error occurred in method 'BulkGet' , usage 'FeedCache' - Exception 'System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List1[System.Collections.Generic.KeyValuePair2[System.String,System.Object]]' to type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable1[System.Collections.Generic.KeyValuePair2[System.String,System.Byte[]]]'. at Microsoft.Office.Server.DistributedCaching.SPDistributedCache.BulkGetT'.

I've restarted, and recreated the distributed cache services. Recreated the user profile application and the other usual suspects.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

I'm glad to hear you solve the problem, if you have any issue about SharePoint, you are welcome to raise a ticket in this forum.

By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others.". So, I would make a brief summary of this thread.

You could click the "Accept Answer" button for this summary to close this thread, and this can make it easier for other community member's to see the useful information when reading this thread. Thanks for your understanding!
