Word & Excel will not 'reactivate'

When I bought my Dell laptop (Windows 10) I paid extra to have Windows Office installed. Now all of a sudden I'm getting a 'reactivation' request that doesn't seem to work. It appears I need to pay for another version? Is this correct, and how is this fair if I've already purchased the product?

You should talk to the people who sold you the computer.

Office needs to be part of your Microsoft account.

    Hi @Kathy DeFabrizio

    I understand your feeling.

Do you remember the Microsoft account that bound with Office license?

If yes, please sign into Services & subscriptions to have a check. Under "Products you've purchased" will show the Office that you own, and you can download to install it.

Thanks. I reinstalled but I'm still sporadically getting the reactivate message in Excel. It asks me to sign in and I do but it doesn't help. Doesn't seem to be happening in Word though (yet).
