When I bought my Dell laptop (Windows 10) I paid extra to have Windows Office installed. Now all of a sudden I'm getting a 'reactivation' request that doesn't seem to work. It appears I need to pay for another version? Is this correct, and how is this fair if I've already purchased the product?

Still seems to be happening - same as before - sporadically.

Judging from the information you shared above, it is the information about Microsoft 365 Apps on your computer that prompted you to activate Microsoft 365 Apps.
Later, you can use the 'dstatus' command again to check whether there is activation information for other Offices on the computer.
In addition, if there are other versions of Office in Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, please uninstall it.
Is this what you mean? I should uninstall the top item? I did have to install something for the last place I worked... maybe this is causing the issue now?

After much concern, I did uninstall that. Had zero effect. Still getting the reactivate messages on Excel and Word.

If there is no Microsoft 365 Apps installed, please run 'dstatus' command to check Office activation information again.
Since your Office 2019 is activated, you mainly need to check the activation information of Office on the machine, make sure there is no other inactivated versions.

From the results above, there is no other activation information for Office.
Under this case, I suggest you use the uninstall tool to completely clean Office products.
Reinstall it from the Services & Subscriptions page.
