Hi

We would like to use the add-in report message and report phishing buttons in Outlook - which we have then successfully deployed. The only problem is, that we don't know how to remove the built in Microsoft report junk function, so that we only have the add-in functions available.

It is important for us to remove the built in function, since when using this (especially on mobile, when the user get's the option to "report phishing" in the built in function), we cannot control where the reported email is sent. The report is ONLY going to Microsoft, and we need the report to go to a specific mailbox.
In the add-in version, you can configure that the report goes to a specific mailbox.
But we now see issues, where users are using the built in function to report phishing or junk, and then we never see the report, because it only goes to Microsoft.

Therefore we are in desperate need of removing the built in report junk function in outlook, across all platforms. Can anyone please assist in this?

    Hi @Simona Stegmann Holst ,

I understand your concern. Unfortunately, as of now, it seems that the built-in "Report Message" feature in Outlook cannot be disabled. This is a decision from the Microsoft development team.

However, you can provide feedback to Microsoft about this issue. To do this, you can go to File > Feedback > Suggest a feature and input your suggestions. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

You can also check the Microsoft 365 roadmap to see if the feature you want to implement is already under development.
