Outlook junk mail appearance

rebecca milton 5 Reputation points

I use outlook (hotmail) and recently, the appearance of my junk mail has changed. Previously, any emails in junk were displayed with the company/sender’s name ie TodayTix or marks and Spencer, Uber etc.

However, now they appear as an actual email address, (see attached screenshot) and sometimes these are long so it isn’t easy to spot who the sender is. This makes it much much harder/slower to scan the junk mail box to check nothing is in there that I actual want to read. Before, I could just quickly read down the list and then delete all. Now I have to check each email more carefully. Very boring!

I have searched in the settings and can find nothing to help change this back.

Any ideas would be so gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @rebecca milton ,

From your description, it seems like there might have been an update or change in your Outlook settings that is causing this change in the appearance of your junk mail.

According to my research, some users in the forum mentioned that the same problem occurred in the recent update of Outlook. I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

Some user have already submitted this feedback in a dedicated portal and you can vote for it:
