@Sorensen, Ralph, Thanks for posting in Q&A. In Intune, we can enroll the Android device into Intune to let it manage. There are many different methods to enroll the device. Here is a link with more details:

After the device is enrolled into Intune, we can deploy policies to the device. You can read the following link to find the setting we can deploy.

For apps, we can deploy different type for different enrollment method. You can read the following link to know it more.

After we assign the policy or app to the device or user group, we can sync in Microsoft Intune app or Company portal app on the device side to see if we can get the policy or app.
