Can't create a parallel coordinate charts on Azure ML Studio

Hello,

I have my pipelines setup and running in Azure ML studio. I can see my metrics and everything correctly displayed in the job interface for my experiment.

But I can't setup the parallel coordinates chart to work: when clicking on primary metric or "select columns" nothing happens. (even though I can create other type of charts, such as scatter plots etc.. and select my metrics)

    Hi @Ugo Cupcic

Thank you for using the Microsoft Q&A forum.

From your description, I understand that you were having trouble setting up the parallel coordinates chart in Azure ML Studio. When clicking on primary metric or "Select Columns", nothing happens.

I would like to let you know that the parallel coordinates chart is a visualization tool that displays multi-dimensional data for hyperparameter tuning jobs alone. It is available in Azure ML Studio, and it can be used to visualize the relationship between multiple variables. To set up the parallel coordinates chart, you need to select the primary metric and the columns you want to display.

For the purpose of troubleshooting your issue, I submitted a hyperparameter tuning sweep job, and then was able to successfully select the drop-down values.

After submitting your hyperparameter tuning job, please navigate to the Jobs menu in the Azure Portal and you can view as below:

On clicking "Add a tile" below window appeared:

On Clicking "Parallel Coordinates" section, below appeared:

Please refer the documentation on how to Configure hyperparameter tuning experiment and on how to Visualize training results in studio (preview) and you should be able to successfully build a parallel coordinates chart.

Documentation on Sample Parallel coordinates chart for your reference.

I hope the provided details help you in plotting a Parallel coordinates chart. Thank you.

Do let us know if you any further queries.
