I am writing to bring to your attention an issue we have been encountering while implementing autosuggest in our new docs site using Bing custom search API's.

  1. We observed that the autosuggestions are only being taken from user-defined suggestions, but the functionality in custom search documentation for autosuggestions is it generates autosuggestions based on instances list when user-defined suggestions are absent.
  2. Our expectation as per the customsearch.ai portal's documentation, was for the autosuggestions to generate suggestions from instances list if user-defined suggestions are absent.

3.The Autosuggestions are not being taken from the instances that I have provided in my customsearch.ai portal.

@Siva Teja Sivakavi I believe you have enabled autosuggestions on the Hosted UI configuration page and then checked on the production instance tab. Autosuggestions take upto 24 hours to get updated, so if you have done it less than 24 hours before then please wait and check later.

    Enable it from here:

Also, other requirements mentioned here should be fulfilled for the feature to work.
