Runbook synchronization failing

Hello,

I am encountering an issue with the synchronization of my runbooks. The source control integration in azure automation that fetches codes from an azure repository is currently failing to synchronize. Yet it was working properly until yesterday. Could you please assist in fixing the issue?

Brunel Elvire BOUYA-MOKO, Most commonly, I have seen this happens due to intermittent (network/platform) related issue which gets resolved on its own. Could you please let us know if you are still facing this issue?

If you are still facing this issue, are there error messages coming up with the cause of failure?

Check Azure Automation Sync Jobs:

Go to the Azure Portal and navigate to your Azure Automation account.

Select "Source control" from the menu on the left.

Click on the "Sync Jobs" tab.

Identify the most recent job that failed. This will give you more specific information about the error.

2. Analyze Sync Job Logs:

Select the failed sync job.

Click on "Download Logs" to retrieve detailed information about the synchronization attempt.

3. Common Causes and Solutions:

Based on the downloaded logs and the fact that it worked previously, here are some common causes and solutions to investigate:

Authentication Issues: Double-check that the Azure Automation account has the proper permissions to access your Azure DevOps repository. Ensure the access token or connection hasn't expired.

Source Control Changes: Did you make any significant changes to your source control repository recently? These changes might cause conflicts during synchronization.

Runbook Naming Conflicts: Are there any naming conflicts between runbooks in your source control and the existing ones in your Automation account? Renaming conflicting runbooks might help.

Temporary Glitches: Sometimes, transient issues can occur. Try re-running the manual sync from the Azure portal to see if it resolves the problem.

@Brunel Elvire BOUYA-MOKO, As mentioned in the following question, there was an issue reported for Azure Automation source control sync.

""Our product team has been migrating source control jobs to new ACI environment. They have identified the backend service issue and already reverted back after detecting the issue.""
