How can I enroll existing Microsoft Entra registered devices in Intune for our tenant?

I am an Azure administrator tasked with implementing device management for our tenant within Microsoft Entra. We currently have existing users and devices registered in Azure AD. Most of the devices are "Microsoft Entra registered," while some are "Microsoft Entra joined."

My goal is to enroll these existing devices in Intune for centralized management. I understand automatic enrollment might be an option, but I'm unsure if it applies to existing users. Would automatic enrollment only work for users registering after configuration?

If automatic enrollment isn't suitable, what is the recommended approach for enrolling existing users and their devices in Intune? I known I can do this the manual way, like have each user go into accounts > access work or school > and go through the connect wizard. But is there a other way without have the users to do this ?

@Rachna Harlalka, Thanks for posting in Q&A. For existing Microsoft Entra joined device, there's script to enroll them into Intune automatically. Here is a link list the detailed steps and script for the reference.

Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

For Microsoft Entra registered device, you need to do it manually. I don't find the auto method.

Hope the above information can help.
