Hi, I have the same question. We need intune app to register the Ubuntu device in intune.
We can not go to lower version of Ubuntu, because we also need SSO functionality.

Any schedule for this intune update ?
People are trying to find custom solutions, an official one would be much appreciated.

We don't just need Ubuntu 24 support, we need Fedora, Arch, Gentoo, Snap, Flatpak and source support. We also need Microsoft to stop building packages against distro specific packages like Curl with Open SSL, which is native to Ubuntu.

Is there any hope this will work with the later Linux Versions?
libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 missing seems to be a common problem right now. @Microsoft please provide us a new version working with the above mentioned linux versions!

@MrMaMa, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Based on my checking, the current support Ubuntu Desktop version is still 22.04

And then I have checked in Intune new feature and developing feature and didn't find it mention to support Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

linI can add the repository to my Ubuntu 24.04 test machine, but attempting to install the intone-portal package fails as follows
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
intune-portal :
Depends: libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 (>= 2.39.90) but it is not installable
Depends: libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages

To install intune-portal on noble from the jammy repo one can download these packages from ubuntu's jammy repos:
libicu70_70.1-2_amd64.deb
libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18_2.44.2-0ubuntu0.22.04.1_amd64.deb
libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37_2.44.2-0ubuntu0.22.04.1_amd64.deb
Install them with:
sudo apt -f install *.deb
After this the intune-portal package will install.
This will only help with package deps nothing else. MS needs to release support for noble on the proper way.

I have been testing with Ubuntu 24.04 for the day so far and I would like to make use of it in the future. Is there a roadmap as to when intune will be included for Ubuntu 24.04 ?

Could you use snap to prevent this kind of problems?
Not that snaps would solve this. The service side needs to support the client. Snaps have not reached maturity for the enterprise.
