Not getting access with newly created user in cosmosdb for mongodb

I have created user in consmosdb for mongodb api with built-in role but while accessing with newly created user getting Error: invalid salt length provided

Created user with CLI : az cosmosdb mongodb user definition create --account-name <acc name> --resource-group <resource grp name> --body {\"Id\":\"<YOUR_DB_NAME>.<YOUR_USERNAME>\",\"UserName\":\"<YOUR_USERNAME>\",\"Password\":\"<YOUR_PASSWORD>\",\"DatabaseName\":\"<YOUR_DB_NAME>\",\"CustomData\":\"Some_Random_Info\",\"Mechanisms\":\"SCRAM-SHA-256\",\"Roles\":[{\"Role\":\"read\",\"Db\":\"<YOUR_DB_NAME>\"}]}

Trying to login from CLI with mongo 4.2.25 binaries: "C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.2\bin\mongo.exe" --authenticationDatabase <YOUR_DB> --authenticationMechanism SCRAM-SHA-256 "mongodb://<YOUR_USERNAME>:<YOUR_PASSWORD>@<YOUR_HOST>:10255/?ssl=true&replicaSet=globaldb&retrywrites=false&maxIdleTimeMS=120000"

but getting error: err: AuthenticationFailed: invalid salt length provided

but for testing i have created small nodejs script with connectionString = "mongodb://" + "<YOUR_USER>" + ":" + "<YOUR_PASSWORD>" + "@" + "<YOUR_HOSTNAME>" + ":10255/" + "<YOUR_DATABASE>" +"?ssl=true&retrywrites=false&replicaSet=globaldb&authmechanism=SCRAM-SHA-256&appname=@" + "<YOUR appName FROM CONNECTION STRING IN AZURE PORTAL>" + "@";

var client = await mongodb.MongoClient.connect(connectionString, { useNewUrlParser: true, useUnifiedTopology: true });

i i got the data successfully.

I am not sure, do i missing something while accessing DB from CLI with mongo.exe ??

Could you please double-check the Azure portal settings for your Cosmos DB instance, specifically the MongoDB API settings, authentication configurations, and network settings. Ensure that everything is configured correctly.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

As I understand, you are not getting access to Azure Cosmos DB with a newly created user.

Could you please let us know how new created was created? via Portal/CLI/Powershell/Code, Network configuration of your Cosmos Account?
