Is it possible to mirror a privately shared Snowflake database on Fabric?

I have a snowflake db that is being shared so I can access it from my account.

I want to mirror this database on Fabric but only local dbs show as "enabled" in the dropdown.

I wonder if this is a limitation or some extra permissions are needed.

I read about the limitations on this article:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/database/mirrored-database/snowflake-limitations

Which says:

  • Only replicating native tables are supported. Currently, External, Transient, Temporary, Dynamic tables are not supported.

Technically the tables in the database are native, just shared by another account.

@Hir Am - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platfrom.

MS Fabric is currently not supported in the Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here Supported products on MS Q&A (more to be added later on).

You can ask the experts in the dedicated MS Fabric community forum.

Can you please open as a new thread in MS Fabric community: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/bd-p/ac_generaldiscussion
