Hi all,

i had a feeling my account may have been compromised so i took some steps to secure it: i signed out of all devices, changed my password and turned 2fa on. after a while my iPhone outlook app finally logged out, however i still noticed i was receiving new email notifications. i could not view them in full in the outlook app but i could still see the notification which included the senders name, subject and first few lines. i am concerned that if my account was compromised, they would still be able to view my notifications. this seems very poor from microsft security-how can i ensure this stops??

thanks

I understand your concern. It’s important to note that the notifications you’re seeing are likely cached on your device, it is recommended that you take the following steps:

    1. Clear the cache of your Outlook app: This can help remove any stored data, including notifications, from your device. You can do this in the settings of your iPhone.
    2. Check for suspicious activity: Microsoft provides tools to help you investigate suspicious activity on your account. If you notice unfamiliar changes to critical security settings or unusual activity in your mailbox, it’s recommended to investigate further. See: Responding to a compromised email account.
