How to access Data Catalog

Question

How do I and what do I need to access the data catalog (portal.azure.com)? I already have access to the compliance portal where I can create DLP and information protection policies. But I don't know how to start accessing the data catalog and it's functions, data quality, business domains..etc

The current governance roles and role groups available cover only broad access. Microsoft Purview governance uses a combination of role groups, data access, and collection permissions to provide users granular access to metadata in the Microsoft Purview Data Catalog.

In both the free and enterprise versions of the Microsoft Purview portal, some permissions can be managed at the tenant/organization level using role groups.

The currently available governance tenant-level groups are:

Note: Make sure to have Data Catalog Curators permissions to perform create, read, modify, and delete actions on catalog data objects and establish relationships between objects in the classic data catalog.
