Can we still use SAP CDC connector in data factory?

Question

SAP is no longer permitting the use of RFC modules in Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) Data Replication API.

We are starting a new integration between SAP HANA and ADLS to extract calculated views with full load and incremental strategies. What will be the implications of using SAP CDC connector in data factory? Does Microsoft recommend using any alternative instead?

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Synapse/Data Factory connector SAP CDC is using SAP ODP RFC API which is not supported anymore according to SAP note 3255746, ODP ODATA API should be used instead within the connector.

So here you can use SAP CDC via OData when it's ready or use the existing OData connector
