Hi @Jean-Pierre Castel ,
To further confirm, does this problem occur in your Outlook client? Please log in to webmail to see if the problem exists.
Did you perform any special operations before this problem occurred, such as importing contacts?
To solve the duplicate contacts problem:
- If you only have a couple of duplicate contacts, you can sort your contact list and delete them manually.
- The fastest way to delete a large number of duplicate contacts is to export them to a file, then import them into a new folder. More details, see: Resolve or delete duplicate contacts
You can sort your contacts by the first or last name, company, home city, and more:
- On the navigation bar, select People.
- Select the View tab from the ribbon, in the Current View group, select View Settings.
- Select the Sort button, then you can choose from the Sort items by drop down to select how you want your contacts to be sorted.
- For other ways to change the sorting of contacts, see: Manage contacts in Outlook
The replacement of “é” with “#233” in Outlook could be due to the encoding settings.
- Open Outlook and click on File.
- Go to Options > Mail > International Options.
- Under Preferred encoding for outgoing messages, select Unicode (UTF-8).
- Click OK to save the changes.
