I am trying to install SSIS after the install of VS 2019 and I keep running into an issue.

I have a WIN 2011 machine.

I have tried with VS2022 / VS 2019 Profession as well as community editions.

I have installed and uninstalled many times with the hope of getting it to work but nothing seems to work. I have also followed the suggestions provided by other users on this page ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/915389/ssis-installation-error-unknown-error-(0x80131500) ) but that did not help either.

The error message i get is

SETUP FAILED

unknown error (0x80131500) (0x80131500)

Pls let me know how to get past this issue.

Thanks

Raj

    Hi @Rajsekhar Patlola,

    Do you mean that you are installing SSIS project but it failed in VS?

    Please try to download SSIS v4.5.

    Regards,

    @Rajsekhar Patlola,

    Your question is not clear.

    Are you trying to create a SSIS development environment on your personal computer?

    If the answer is YES, you just need VS2019 and its SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension. Here is its download: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=SSIS.SqlServerIntegrationServicesProjects
