Dear Microsoft Community,

I really need your help for guidance. So, I want to delete the tenant under my account and it comes down to 'Delete all license-based subscriptions' and 'Get permission to delete Azure resources'

I believe the workaround is to turn on the access management for Azure resources in the properties. Anyhow, I did not find the solution for this issue yet, so it happened that the 'Save' button is greyed out when I set out the Toggle to Yes. this happened ALTHOUGH I have the Global Administrator role. Where actually I am the only user in this tenant, so there is no other role.

Please help.

Thank you.

    Hello @GDSRCK ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft QnA Platform. I see that you are unable to remove Azure AD / Entra Tenant with message 'Delete all license-based subscriptions' and 'Get permission to delete Azure resources'. You can review following article which has detailed steps on how you can clean up your Entra ID Tenant before you proceed with its deletion: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/users/directory-delete-howto#delete-an-office-365-or-microsoft-365-subscription

With regards to deleting Azure Resources you would need to elevate your access as a Global Admin, browse to Azure Subscription to validate if there are any subscriptions and if there are any resources within that subscription. If there are any Azure Resources or Subscription associated with the tenant you would need to remove them before you can proceed with Tenant deletion.

If you are still unable to delete the tenant due to blocker of Azure Subscription you can raise a support request with Azure Subscription Management Support who can help you immediately delete any associated Azure Subscription once you cancel it from your end.

Please "Accept the answer" if the information helped you. This will help us and others in the community as well.
