Hi Guys,

Email template are not working. We use a email template internally which was working with Outlook 2010.

Recently all of my team members were set up with Outlook 2016 post which the templates are not working.

We are able to extract the template on 2016 and able to send it, but the issue here is once the email with the template leaves the mailbox and if its reaching any outlook 2016 mailbox intended recipients the template does not show up at the receivers end (its just greyed out)

Please advice.

    Hi @MK ,
What's the version of your Outlook 2016(File>Options>Office Account>About Outlook)?

once the email with the template leaves the mailbox and if its reaching any outlook 2016 mailbox intended recipients the template does not show up at the receivers end (its just greyed out)

Did this issue occurred on all templates or only any specific templates in Outlook 2016?
How did you create and use them (create in Outlook 2010 or 2016)?
What's the specific meaning of "its just greyed out", are there any special content in the template? Please provide me with a screenshot about issues if it's possible(please hide your personal information in screenshot for security.)

I have tried to create a template(with text and picture) via New messages>File>Save as> Outlook Template on my Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2016, and use them via New items> More items>choose form>under User Template files, choose my template(.oft) file, it could work normally in all users and Outlook client.
Then I also have tried to copy the template files that created in Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2016 for testing, the message based on template still could display normally in recipients' inbox. So it's suggested to first check if the steps that you create and use the template have any differences with mine.

Also, if the issues only happen to the specific template, in order to further analyze your issue, it's suggested to create a new template to test if it could work normally.

If your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.
