I'm attempting to remove the verified on.microsoft.com domain, but I keep encountering a "Bad Request" error. My default domain and fallback domain are different, yet I still can't delete this domain. I've tried every possible method, including using PowerShell and Graph Explorer, but I continue to receive the same error. Please Help me resolve this issue.error

    HI Maduwanth,

It appears that the domain deletion process encounters an error because the domain is still enabled for email.

[ATTENTION: this on.microsoft.com is a default domain that can be used for systems comunication. Be carefull]

Check for Active Users or Services Associated with the Domain

If applies, remove the domain from ‘accepted domains’ for Exchange "Remove-AcceptedDomain -Identity <DomainName>"

    Hi @Maduwanth Harish

    Thank you for post!

I understand that you are unable to delete the domain name (.onmicrosoft.com) because the initial .onmicrosoft.com domain name that comes with every Entra ID which is not possible to change or delete.

You can add a custom domain name to your Entra ID tenant and make it the primary domain name.

Reference: Add your custom domain name to your tenant.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

    Thanks,

    Akhilesh.
